This was my entry to the IDEO postcard competition, which won me my place on their two-week hang internship. The competition was simply - "send us a postcard with three inspirations; an inspirational object, service and experience." I wanted the postcard to tell a story, so the theme of the postcard itself was chosen. Upon receiving the postcard, the perforated strip of stamps which seal the card are torn open to reveal an image of a Bic pen, my inspirational object. Unfolding the card one final time reveals my inspirational service, Royal Mail, and also my inspirational experience, letter writing. All tied together with the card saying simply on the back, "Wish you were here." |
