On / Off - Introduction
This object is about enforced responsibility, especially with respect to the care of a person, animal, or in this case, a plant. Life is reduced to on or off; a gadget stripping all the pleasures of owning a plant, to a blinking red light. Where even watering the plant is seen as a chore. This object tackles how electronics and gadgets are used in the domestic environment - how, in the attempt to make life easier, simple pleasures are missed.
